You guys, I just now realized that Eddie could be based of the real Serial Killer Ed Kemper.

If you‘re interested, here are some facts:

• Serial Killer Ed Kemper‘s mother was an alcoholic. So is Barbara, Eddie‘s Mom.

• Ed Kemper‘s mother took it so far that her husband left her and Ed, which was also the case for Eddie.

• Ed Kemper killed specifically women, same as Eddie. He would also like to strangle them.

• They both killed their mother.

• Also their Names ‚Ed‘ and ‚Eddie‘ lol.

I found that quite interesting and I thought I might share. Maybe there are some crime fans among you guys. :)

I'm writing a paper (not in English) based on the first season of Desperate Housewives. I look for symbols of "American Dream" happening on idyllic suburbian steers (as white picket fence etc) and in main characters. Have you got any ideas? What connections with american suburbian dream come to your mind when you think of Desperate Housewives? Are there any reflections of the myth? Is it true or false?
