Nick Chinlund was born and raised in New York City. He left the city to play basketball at Brown University, but his hoops career was cut short when he suffered an injury during his freshman year. He stayed at Brown and took up acting classes, and realized it was his true calling. He graduated from Brown and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his film career. He worked in the theater and performed in many acclaimed plays. He worked at the Williamstown Theater Festival from 1988 to 1989. He started his film career in Máquina Mortífera 3 (1992) and Queima de Arquivo (1996) and has appeared on "Arquivo X" (1993) and "NYPD Blue" (1993). He now lives in New York and Los Angeles.
Nick was born in New York, New York, and during middle school moved upstate to Albany, New York where he became a basketball standout at Albany High School. Form there Nick attended Brown University and began his quest to reach his dream as an NBA player. During his freshman year he had a career ending injury and decided to take up acting. His passion for success and his competitive nature helped him over come the odds and become a first class actor.
- Has a two to three inch scar on his left shoulder due to an operation Nick had to have to repair a shoulder injury that ended his hopes at an NBA career.
