Notes[]
- The characters of Susan Mayer, Lynette Scavo, Bree Hodge, Gabrielle Solis, Tom Scavo, Orson Hodge and Dave Williams are the only ones to be physically seen in every single episode of the season.
- Due to the character of Edie Britt narrating the episode "Look Into Their Eyes and You See What They Know", this is the only season to not feature Mary Alice Young at all in one episode. However, she provides voice-overs for the 23 remaining episodes, and is physically seen in 1 of them.
- This is the only season to feature the character of Dave Williams as a series regular. It is also the last season to feature Edie Britt, Andrew Van de Kamp and Preston Scavo as regulars (and is thus the only season to feature actor Max Carver, the second portrayer of Preston, as a regular).
- This is the first season to be sponsored and to include product placement by Sprint replacing Sprite.
- This is the only season to feature episodes that do not include a "Previously on Desperate Housewives" segment, narrated by Brenda Strong as Mary Alice Young, excluding the pilot. The episodes are 5.01, 5.13 and 5.19.
